You can map a drive to (Windows) or mount (Mac/Linux) your HPC space that allows you to transfer files between that space and your local computer. Note that you have to be on campus or on the VPN (if off campus) to use these instructions.

Windows

  1. Open the Windows File Explorer
  2. Right-click on This PC and then left-click on Map network drive…
  3. In the Drive: box, select any available drive letter.
  4. In the Folder: box, type \\bnspace.bucknell.edu\username$ (where username is your real Bucknell username)
  5. Optionally check the Reconnect at logon button if you wish to have this drive mapped each time you logon to this machine.
  6. Click the Finish button.
  7. If you are prompted for your username and password, please note that you should enter BUCKNELL\username (where username is your Bucknell username) and your normal Bucknell password (same as myBucknell, email, etc.)

Mac

  1. Single-click on your hard drive icon (usually in the upper right corner of your desktop)
  2. From the Go menu, select Connect to Server…
  3. In the Server Address: box, type smb://bnspace.bucknell.edu/username$ (where username is your actual Bucknell username)
  4. Click the Connect button.
  5. If you are prompted for your username and password, please note that you should enter your normal Bucknell username and password.

Linux (GNOME Desktop)

  1. Select Activities in the top left, search for Files, and select the Files application
  2. On the left side of the Files application, select + Other Locations
  3. In the Connect to Server field, type smb://username@bnspace.bucknell.edu/username$ and select Connect
